REHAB EXERCISES
What are rehab exercises?
When you are no longer in the acute, painful stage of treatment, the chiropractor will give you specific exercises to keep your spine and body moving properly. For example if you have a rotator cuff injury in your shoulder, you will be shown exercises to strengthen the correct muscles. If your primary problem is bad posture, you will be shown exercises to help improve your posture. Every person doesn't need rehab exercises, however there are a few effective stretches that most people can do to keep their joints and muscles moving correctly.
What are the benefits of rehab exercises?
Rehab exercises are important for certain conditions and may play a very important role in your overall recovery. Some conditions require little to no rehab exercises. The chiropractor is there to figure this all out for you. Rehab exercises give you some control over your treatment as you have something to do at home and work that will help improve your problem between your appointments. As you improve it will usually allow the chiropractor to space out your treatment further.
